The weight of the cotton poplin combined with a hard-wearing white matt surface, ensures that the flat weave of the fabric is an ideal choice for a wide range of end uses like apparel, pocket squares and fashion items.

What is Poplin Fabric?
Poplin fabric is a fine and plain woven sturdy fabric with a horizontal waft and vertical weft. But surprisingly it has not always been and is not always cotton. Surprising as cotton and poplin have become virtually synonymous. It was initially made of silk warp with a weft of worsted yarn. Today, however is it is usually 100% cotton but can come in wool, silk or polyester. Given it’s durability and pleasing lustre, it’s a mainstay in many items of clothing but also can be found in upholstery by using coarser yarns in a hard weave.
